OLD FORT BAPTIST CHURCH

The week we spent in Port-au-Prince, Haiti is very hard to describe.  Our accommodations were excellent as we stayed at the Florida house which had received some damage but for the most part was left completely functional.   We slept in a bunk each night and were serve two meals per day.  The accommodations couldn’t have been better.

On the other hand, the work in Haiti was nothing less than heart-wrenching.  The sights we saw and the stories we heard were at first hard to believe and then hard to handle.  I told someone earlier that every story we heard would have made front page news in any city in the USA.  However, since everyone there had experienced the same calamity, it was as though the devastation was commonplace.

We can report that God is clearly at work in this area of disaster and devastation.  We saw many come to the Lord and met many more who had surrendered to the Lordship of Christ since the quake.  We heard miraculous stories of God’s deliverance in the face of certain peril and watched the church in Haiti stand strong again the forces of darkness.

All in all, we can report that God is at work and OFBC has partnered with Him in this great ministry.  Thank you all so much for supporting us as we ministered to the Haitian people.
